Dr. Ben Andrew, Ed.D is a U.S. Navy veteran, college professor, minister, and servant leader with over 15 years of professional experience driving meaningful results across public, private, and faith-based organizations. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Andrew comes from humble beginnings that instilled in him the values of hard work, faith, and resilience. His journey—from the vibrant setting of New Orleans to military service and leadership in national organizations—has fueled his passion for helping others overcome challenges and fulfill their God-given purpose.
Throughout his career, Dr. Andrew has held leadership roles such as Vice President of Safety at NFI Industries, Environmental Health and Safety Leader at DuPont, and Chief of Safety and Emergency Management at the Department of Veterans Affairs. He has also worked with respected organizations including the County of Riverside (California), Jacobs Technology, NASA, BAE Systems, and the Department of the Navy.
Dr. Andrew holds a Master of Business Administration (Strayer University), a Master of Theological Studies (Liberty University), and a Doctor of Education (Grand Canyon University) with an emphasis in Organizational Development. His doctoral research focuses on the emotional well-being of military veterans transitioning into civilian life—reflecting his deep commitment to service, advocacy, and empowerment.
In ministry, Dr. Andrew served as Pastor of Encouragement Church, a vibrant, contemporary non-denominational church built on community, connection, and commitment. Under his leadership, Encouragement Church thrived as a Christ-centered gathering place where people from all walks of life were inspired to win and challenged to make a Godly impact on society. Now, as Pastor of Whatcoat (Camden, DE), Dr. Andrew is dedicated to sharing the love of Christ, fostering a loving and welcoming church family, and guiding others to walk boldly in faith, service, and purpose.
Above all, Dr. Andrew is a devoted husband and proud father of four. His greatest joy is spending time with his family and striving daily to model faith, integrity, and love in both word and deed.
